At Mappic, we believe that your location data and photographic memories are highly sensitive and profoundly personal. This privacy policy outlines precisely how we handle your data and why our offline-first architecture makes Mappic incredibly secure.

1. Data Collection & Processing

Mappic is fundamentally designed as an offline-first application. We do not collect, transmit, or store your photos, their metadata, or any personal information on our servers. All computational tasks, including image processing, GPS coordinate and map tile insertion, are executed entirely locally on your device's hardware.

Because processing is strictly local, there is zero risk of your personal images being intercepted or leaked during transit to a cloud server.

2. Location Services

The application requests permission to access your device's location services. This permission is used exclusively to fetch your precise geographic coordinates to embed your current location into an watermark on image captured. This fetched location data is never logged, cached by us, or transmitted to any external analytics service or server.

3. Zero Advertising & Analytics

Mappic contains strictly zero third-party advertising Software Development Kits (SDKs) and zero behavioral tracking tools. We do not monetize your attention, and we do not compile profiles based on the locations where you take your photographs.

4. Third-Party Map Providers

We use third party services to generate map tile for your images. When your device loads these map interfaces, your location and the specific map tile coordinates are inherently requested from the tile provider's servers. No other personal identifiers, photographs, or localized Exif data are transmitted during this process.
